The
146th annual Oxford and Cambridge
Boat Race 25th March 2000
Positive Comments from the Chief Coach and Director of Rowing, Oxford
University Boat Club.
"To win
the Boat Race, we had to make sure that all aspects or our preparation
were correctly managed. Physiology, technique, physiology, medicine,
nutrition and equipment all had to be at the highest level. Using
Neways' products this year helped to ensure that our athletes were 100%
ready to race in one of the hardest races ever."
Sean Bowden - Chief Coach, Oxford University Boat Club
"Having seen and prepared many Boat Race crews over the past 20
years, this year the Oxford University crews were able to race to their
full potential - indeed. When asked, they were in a position to
"step over the line."
The feedback from crew members in the vital lead up to the race was that
Neways' products definitely assisted in their preparation for the race
day. Oxford's victory ended Cambridge's 7-year winning run.
Our thanks go to Neways and Piers Whitley for their support in providing
Neways' supplements - Maximol, Revenol and Ming Gold- to the Oxford
University Boat Race Squad. Both Oxford and their reserve crew Isis
won - the results speak for themselves."
Steve Royle - director of Rowing, Oxford University Boat Club
